Rand replacement

Folks I’ve went too long on my kenetrek mountain extremes and the rand has separated and now is missing in key areas. I realize I should have taken care of this when the rand separated but that’s behind me now.

Can cobblers replace the rand? They’re not ready to be completely resoled yet but maybe that’s what I should do? I assume kenetrek replaces the rand then?

Just get it all done at once. Lowa did my Tibet’s for $85(?) last year. Sure kenetrek would do something similar.

That said, as the post below states, that freesole stuff works good and you can make a toecap, plus run a bead around the rest of the rand that will last 1 to 2 years

I have kenetreks and had the rand separate in a few spots. I called kenetrek and mailed them my boots. They fixed the rand and resolved them for about 150 bucks. Great customer service. And got them back in about 4 weeks I think.
