I have been doing a lot of thinking this year and I think I am going to go this direction instead of the Ulmers. I was wanting to hear some of the guys that use them's opinions on the blades being weak. I called a few buddy's that use them to pick their brains and no one answered and figured I would throw it up here

I have heard both good and bad reviews. Might check to make sure they are legal and not considered barbed if that is a restriction where you will be using them. No personal experience.

Pros: They do devastation on animals for sure. They also fly really well.
Cons: the blades bend when pulling them out of foam targets. They can be hard to fit in a quiver.

My buddy used them last year and I saw this very thing happen. He was shooting them at a target at camp and they started bending and even coming apart. He was pulling them through the back side too. After seeing that, I personally wouldn't use them. I do know a lot of guy's like them though...

Targets are tough on heads. The Ram Cat is a great head and produce huge holes. Yes, they are a one animal head and you will have to change the blades. That really is not much different than other replaceable blade heads on the market. The points may bend in the quiver if you are not care but they shoot just as accurate. Which brings me to accuracy, they shoot very well and you will most likely not need to tune from them. After using them on turkey and seeing what they did to some elk and a host of African game, the durability is not a question.

Guy i hunt with switched to them, weve tightened them 3 times now and he has only shot one of them... they are rattling loose or something.... My cousing hunted with them and killed some good animals but that kid could shoot a blunt and an animal would fall over dead he has too much luck.

I like the exxus over the ramcats after having a package of each to play with.. That being said i think i would shoot the muzzy trocar if i was needing a long range head

You may have an older set. They did a reverse set screw on the newer version and they should stay nice and tight.

I have shot the head with the blades in every way I could think of and they always hit the mark. They are tight in a quiver but I heard they are working on that too. The QAD head is a bad mother too and I think you couldn't go wrong with either.

Shot them into morrel broadhead target and had no issues w/the blade bending , the only thing about the blade moveability is that they cut when coming out, back of blade is sharp as the front, and they fly great.

I stopped using them because they are a PITA to get out of my Tight Spot quiver. The blades will dig into the hood with the slightest contact on the way out. Just cant risk that hassle when the nerves and heartbeat are on the rise.
