dropped my TT off at rainy pass repair today for some repairs and modifications. having the screen door replaced and adding guy out points to the mid section of the tent. I was expecting a long wait and a bill about half the value of the tent. what I got was a quote of 100 bucks and it will be done next Friday! im pretty happy with that. ill update on quality of work, but there list of customers/manufactures they do repairs for is pretty good. I couldn't believe the turn around time, and it wasn't a "we'll call you in about a week" it was a come pick it up Friday. there was a sign that said walk in customers receive priority so there mailed in items may have a longer turn around. at any rate ill update when I get it back

That's cool, never heard of them, but being within driving distance is awesome..

Let us know how it turns out

I sent some Kuiu to them and they did an awesome job. The turn-around was about 3 weeks though.

well I got my tent back with the screen door fixed and my new guy points. I really love my TT squall but the only knock I had on it was that it has a tendency to sagin the middle. when nice and dry it doesn't sag bad but once it gets wet with either rain or heavy condensation it will sag and drastically reduce freedom of movement inside with out hitting the walls. this should fix that pretty well. after a little trial and error I finally got a good rigging set up and im pretty happy with how it sits. the one thing I would change is I would lower the tie points I had added by maybe 2 or 3 inches, I went 20" from the bottom seam and I think 18 or 16 would have been better. the line and the line locks I got from zpacks and I really like them both, ton of grip on both the finish of the line and those little line locks. no picks of the screen door but it looks and functions like factory, great work. oh and im the one who seem sealed it not rainypass, I don't think they do that but if they did it would probably look better then the mess I made, oh well I just want it not to leak. at any rate rainypass will be where I get all my out door repairs from here on out. very nice work and fast turn around, for local customers any way, like I mentioned I cant speak fro there shipping but im sure its good if its anything like the rest of there work. ill let you guys know how it holds up in the first big storm I go through with the mods

Looks like a well placed stick will help the line pull it out more instead of down. Looks like good work!

Looks good.

I think you're right about lowering the tie out points but it should work pretty good.

yeah I was kinda kicking my self at first, but moving the stake further back helped open it up a bit. plus the real reason I did this was to create more space in the tent and even though theres some wrinkles there on the top it really did open it up nicely inside. function over form I say, but it would look better and pull a little more taunt if they were lower

or if im set up around trees or high brush I can tie a line up. that will really give some vertical space. all in all im pretty happy with it

well I just wasn't all the way satisfied with how I rigged up my tent. and rigging being one of my strong suits (all be it usually with tower cranes) I commenced with the head scratching. I think I found a great way to get the vertical lift I was trying to get in the first place. and with those little line licks I can leave every thing rigged, set up the tent like normal and just tension the lines. im really happy with it now. I think I maintained the simplicity of the tent all the while improving it for my needs and adding near nothing in weight. those line locks and z line are freaking sweet.
