Ya, if they'll make them in a real Tall. I haven't found a pair of technical pants or expensive rain pants that go long enough. I'm 6'6" with long legs. 35's are too short.

Actually, I don't use my rain pants much. I can gaiter up if the ground cover is wet, and that's mostly when I've used the pants.

Get the C4E rain pants off of Camofire. Quiet enough to bowhunt in, and I am a 34 inseam and they are long on me.

Good review! Looks like a lot of hard work went into it.
Looks like you need to do a review on the big boys now, The Yukon, Stormfront, Koldo.

In the works, I have both the Koldo and the Stormfront. Once I get some time in them, I'll see if I can pick up a set of the Yukon. Being winter up here it will take a while to give these a fair shake. I am really interested in seeing the breathability differences between the Koldo and the Stormfront. Should be fun. : )
I also have a set of heavy duty Cabela's Guide Gear Gortex rain gear that will be tested.

Current sets: Kryptek Koldo, Sitka Stormfront, Cabela's Guide Gear
Future? Hope to add Yukon, 4 should be plenty... : )

Thanks for the great non biased review. I currently have both the C4E Torrent jacket and Russell L5 Cylcone because I feel they are the two quietest jackets which is very important to me. If the First Lite Boundary Stormtight is the quietest I am not interested in any of them but thats great information to have. Thanks again.

Awesome review. Sparked some interest in the First Lite for me. Does the First Lite come in Olive?

Thank you and your helpers for taking the time to put this together.

How long did each jacket take to get wet on the inside while in the shower? Did you stop once it got wet or keep going to see if it got really wet inside or just a small amount?

How did you determine breathability (you said it was user subjective)... did you look at the amount of percept in the jacket or on your under shirt? How long was everyone on the bike before each jacket started to hold in the moisture?

SHOWER: I did the entire duration and measured at the end.
SPIN BIKE: Also did the entire duration, measured at the end. Moisture was measured both on the liner of the jacket and on the base layer. I wore the exact same base layer for each test (laundered between tests). It was a 30 minute test. This was then compared to field tests and runs.

Nice review..first off! I have and use the original set of Chuguache from KUIU and they have performed very well when I had the need to use them. For me no need to upgrade ..I have a set of really good rain gear that I really like. That set worked well in Alaska last year and used them the year before in worse conditions at home in Colorado during archery season. I see no reason to spend the money on the up-grade. Having said that.. had I not bought what I did I would seriously look at all of the stuff out there. Some really good stuff that you will not be sorry to own. Bob
