Rain gear welded seam repair?

The welded seam on one of the pit zips on my old trusty original Chugach rain jacket let go. Anyone have any luck or tips to repair? Planning to try some Seam Grip but figured it was worth asking before…

I know I’m being a cheap ass but figured it was worth a try before ponying up for a new one as it’s in great shape otherwise.

From various mistakes I’ve made. I do know you need to tailor the adhesive to the product.
Some stuff doesn’t mesh.
So make sure to research the correct profit the material.

Appreciate the feedback - haven’t heard of Rugged before. This is one of the original made in Canada jackets so I’ve definitely gotten my moneys worth but figured it was worth trying especially since we are lucky to get more than a few inches of rain each fall
