Been laid up for a good part of a week recovering from then doctor stealing my gull bladder. Needless to say i have spent way to much time online and will be having a fair number of boxes show up in the mail soon! Felt good enough to dig around in my hoard and find a tent rain fly that needed a new life. Built it into a glassing tarp for the upcomming hunting season. Triple stitched the outside and sewn in some loops for guide lines. Use a mixture of 100% silicon and mineral sprits to re water proof it after reading the boot waterproofing thread. Gonna try it out on a fishing trip soon. Will set it up as soon as it is dry!

Great use of time there.

My wife is awesome on a machine, and I figure with all these potential hunting projects, it's time I learn. My first project will be repairs on a twice-used backpacking tent from 2007. Nice little Mtn. Hardwear getup. They taped the seams instead of sewing to save weight. Over a decade in my Vegas garage wasn't kind to that adhesive. But if I do that mending, it'll be a nice Plan B bivvy if my partner and I don't make it back to base camp after rucking all day.

What I really noticed is your old Singer. That's a fine American machine!
