Trying to pick a pack I can use for the TTH Challenge. Pack will be loaded with #20 sandbag. Biggest priority is being able to run with it, but it will also be worn while doing burpees and taken off for GTO's and get-ups. I definitely want adequate compression to keep the load from shifting. Suspension is where I'm worried the most. I assume I want padded shoulder straps for the running, what about a belt?

The two packs that have my attention are the Kifaru Zippy and X-ray. Both have good compression straps and padded shoulder straps. The Zippy can be run with a simple webbing belt whereas the Xray can be outfitted with a padded belt. I like the thought of a belt when doing burpees to keep the bag from shifting too much. No stays on the Zippy, where the X-Ray does have stays. Would stays be necessary only carrying #20?

I'm open to other options as well, those are just two I've looked into. Hoping someone has some experience they can share to point me in the right direction.

Yeah I ran the X-ray last year. Worked very well. You definitely want the belt.
