The Rab Neutrino Endurance Down Parka is $189.99 on Massdrop. It's rated as weighing 22 oz. with 9 oz. (in a Men's Medium) of 800 fill goose-down. Seems like a pretty good deal, but does anyone have any experience with the jacket, or tried it on even? I'm wondering if it would be a good backcountry jacket or if it would be a little bit much.

Just an FYI for those interested and personally interested if anyone has any experience with the jacket.

I have owned one for a few years. I picked it up for late season elk for glassing in temps from the single digits to the teens. It works great for that. It fits true to size and the shell material seems to shed more moisture than the typical DWR without the weight of a WPB membrane. It's too warm to move in, but I can't hike in any of my puffy coats without sweating them out. (Besides my Kenai).

It takes a while to get used to the zipper pull being on the left side in British fashion.....

Campsaver has them for 5 bucks more that ship a little quicker. I have been looking to pick one up for late season.

Edit.....using PRES20 coupon it is 175.00 shipped!!!

I have two different RAB puffys. Their stuff is highly technical gear, made to last.
My only hesitation is not knowing their stance on hunting. It hasn't stopped me from owning tons of RAB gear.

Jacket just arrived. Very nice. Tons of handy features and seems to be made very well. This is my second Rab product (other is neoshell) and I am impressed so far.
