Quiet jackets and pants for trad

Last year I tried the Base camp Sierra pants by Kuiu and have been impressed as to comfort and how quickly they dry out. On sale they were about $80 and the only negative is that they do pile a bit going thru Missouri briar, but almost any pant will. Very quiet and our season starts mid September and still cool enough.

The old us army wool pants from the Korea era are to this day one of my favorite hunting pants. You can still find them at army surplus stores or sites for cheap. They do tend to be a little scratchy next to skin but if it’s cold out, a merino base layer bottom and these pants are the perfect combo. I also wear Prana Zions a lot. As someone earlier said, the original Cabelas Microtex. That stuff was the most comfortable and quiet material I’ve ever seen in hunting clothing. When I’m hunting whitetails, it’s always wool and fleece. If you try and wear a puffy jacket or technical waterproof fabrics in the stand on a calm day you can hear the crinkling fabric echoing through the woods LOL.
