Eastern boarder, 6 days, busted one cow, no bugles, no fresh sign. Found a bunch of old sign all over; only fresh track was from the cow. Hot, smoky, conditions didn't help.

At this point I have stopped calling complete and now trying to hunt them like I would deer. Still hunting roads and sitting on water holes.

seen more moose and deer than I have elk.

once again back from 4 days in wolf infested country and heard bugles everyday. I have now hunted a total of 9 days and have heard bugles everyday wit wolves present. Hell I watched one get chased and was bugling later that day lol

Literally just almost hit a wolf on the highway omw home from work a few miles from silverwood. That's a first for this low of elevation
