I love Bend. I would sit in front of Safeway with a sign "I work for food" before I would ever leave. I live in Tumalo but that is a Bend address. I am about 11 miles out of town. Been here 25 years and yes some hunting opportunities have changed but I cant seem to even get out to do all that is available! The Elk in the Cascades used to be great before they stopped logging but I dont seem to not be able to find them every year in other parts of the state - I just dont always get one. The lib politics in the state sucks and while Bend still votes conservative it aint by much maybe 51 to 49. Fishing is awesome in this state. Anyone who says you cant get away from roads here isnt trying too hard. FYI I have killed two Mulie's within 10 miles of Bend on public land in the last 5 years that were not to shabby. One was just over 30" 4X and a 28" 4X. Come on but just dont drag anymore Libs with you!
