Question Regarding Kuiu Super Down Burner Parka

Now that it's been out a while and now that it's on sale for the first time ever, I'm considering possibly purchasing a Kuiu Super Down Burner Parka. When it was at $800 there was no way I would ever buy one. Now, at $600, it's still unlikely but tempting. Is it worth it, assuming you have available funds?

If you bought one, please provide your over all thoughts. I wish First Lite would bring back their cold weather parkas in black, especially the Chamberlin.

This would be my ever day winter jacket. I currently have the Gunmetal Version in my cart as it is the darkest they have. Any thoughts would be appreciated. By the way, my prior experience with Kuiu outerwear is that it seems to run two sizes too small. Is that still the case? Thanks in advance.

I was in the same position as you but took the plunge and ordered it when it came on sale. I was concerned about the sizing too as Kuiu has run a size small for me in the past but I gambled and ordered my standard XL.

Thanks for the reply. Any comments on “value” (subjective, I know)? Durability? Would you do it again? Or, would you choose an alternative?
