Question for PH3 owners

Can anyone with a short action PH3 measure the inside length and width of the magwell for me? I'm curious if the MDT "medium" mags would fit (3.330" long).
I doubt it will fit but I'd appreciate it if someone could measure for me.

I am also looking to get a 5rd AICS or MDT. It does require a spacer from Seekins but guessing I will lose the ability to load long with my current load. Waiting on response from Seekins.

I guess trying to load long with a SA mag is a pipe dream. I wish that combo would work but I understand them not wanting to make a combo to fit everything imaginable.

You can load long with the Seekins SA OEM mag. With my 6.5 PRC, I can load to 3.1" COAL.

I'm pretty sure seekins uses proprietary bottom metal and magazines on the 6.5 PRC and 300 prc/wm such that they are not AICS compatible. That is why you can get over 3.1" in the 6.5 PRC magazine and 3.9" in the 300s. In 308/creedmoor chamberings with AICS bottom metal/mags, its going to be limited to AICS type mags, I.E. you're not going to get to 3" COAL.

It's not a simple "short actions allow X COAL, long actions allow X" situation.

Short action is 2.870" with binder plate, 2.960" without binder plate.

Thanks and that is what I was assuning. I am a tick over 3" with current load. Bummer there is not a 5 rd option and I don't much care for the carbon fiber 3 rd mag but the PH3 overall is amazing.
