i've watched the videos about them and they can be attached by 'compressing' them onto the side with the existing compression straps but they can also be attached 'passively' so you don't have to unclip your compression straps to access the side pockets.

looking at the pics on the kifaru site it shows PALS webbing on the back of the side pocket that runs horizontally. how do you attach it passively with compression straps? do you need to use malice clips to mount it this way?

i assumed that they had a vertical PALS webbing on either side on the back of the pocket to run the straps under but not so.

Use the straps that are running horizontally on your pack bag of choice to hold the side pockets passively. Like these on my Late Season. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437609831.059545.jpg
Just undo one side and feed the strap through the vertical pals slot and reattach. Let me know if I need to take some more/better pics. Bill

The pictures on the website are incomplete. There are vertical webbing channels (on the large and medium side pockets) in between the PALS rows that do as you're asking.

RH, thanks for actually reading the post. I got excited thinking I could help and started taking pics of my junk. My apologies for not paying better attention. Here's a pic of the vertical pals that are on the backside of the pocket. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437618235.510295.jpg

Haha its all good man. Thanks for taking the pics because it's a pretty ingenious design but not easy to explain.
