I've been using my talley rings for so long that i've ditched all of my weaver/picatinny rings. now i'm in need of some for my 300 wby with a 1 piece 20 moa base. there's a lot out there to choose from but if your budget was about $40-$75 what would you say is adequate these days for picatinny rings? i've been one of the lucky ones who have never had a poor mount go awry and i'd like to keep it that way. Thanks for your suggestions.

What scope are you planning to use?

30mm tube. it's my older 1st gen vortex pst 4-16. it'll be on an egw 20moa rail

still need to do the math to see if i can run low rings or if i have to use mediums

We have had great success with our rings, precision machined aluminum with a steel lock plate and hardware. For 30mm optics we offer a 'medium' at 1.18" and a 'high' at 1.46". Check them out HERE and let us know if you have any questions.

Swfa rings are cheap and hold zero.

Warne steel rings have done great as well.

Xlr rings are pretty heavy for being only 4 screws.

For 70$ I'd squeeze for some warne mountaintechs at 100$.

i ended up with a set of xlr's for about $45. they are a little heavy but for this rifle that's not a bad thing. i like the flush side mount and the screws actually look like you can torque them down. by that i mean you don't need to go to a jeweler to get replacement screws if you lose one. i'm excited to give them a try. fwiw, they are a little high compared to others i've used. the lows are closer to a medium and slightly tall. they fit my mark v with a 20 moa rail and 50mm bell housing with plenty of room to spare.

thank you to all that replied
