The rifle’s 10 round groups (and one 20 round) are all under 1.5 MOA, and the 1.5 was only one I think. The vast majority have been 1.1 to 1.3 MOA. After zeroing (20 round group) it has twice needed a down .2 mil correction (.4 mils total)- so lost zero high, which is exactly what the scopes did in the drop evals; all three of them when they lost zero, they went high.

As for only using three rounds or even one round to check zero, if the rifle has been zeroed correctly (it was) than any shot, and especially multiple shots that land outside the cone means something has moved.

Let’s say the gun is what the worst group was, so 1.5” at 100 rounds.

The white “X” ring is 1.695”

This shot is well outside the cone (1.25” high)-

Even if you go to the middle of both, it is outside the cone (.82” high)-

Thanks Form - that's really helpful.

And I'm guessing a few others were wondering the same, so it's good to have this explanation so clearly presented. Cheers!

Correct. There is a .2 to .3 mil vertical shift randomly happening.

I REALLY want(ed) this scope to pass. I know I should just get the Nightforce SHV, but FFP & a usable mil reticle in that power range with dialable elevation turret around 20 ounces seems so damn useful. Trijicon has a credo that pretty well fits the bill, but I'm skeptical of its reticle on the low end. And I'm a Leupold fan boy (nostalgia and becasue I have several, I guess).

Thanks for the detailed postings and review. I should just write this thing off, but I still haven't. Emotional (? - for lack of a better word) attachment to a brand/product I have no real reason to be attached to is weird.
