I'm happy they sent it in.
Hopefully they take the fact that the scope has a bad erector system and start to impove on it.

I’m willing to bet they sent one in because they are active on Reddit and the Reddit LR sub is starting to talk about these tests.

It’s a good thing

It’s also exactly what I expected. Any ring/mounting changes planned?

Sounds like Bushnell is having someone else do, and pay to test their scopes for them. Lol

Bushnell just had you guys develop a standard for "abuse."

"If the scoped rifle is dropped 18" or more onto your camp bed, then that's abuse."

@Formidilosus how do the DMR line of scopes do in the test?

I haven’t done any of the newer ones in the eval. The originals were pretty solid though. Current ones from what I’ve seen just shooting with them are also pretty decent. They show issues every once in a while, but generally rare.

Hey just jumping on another old post here.
I see on hear abit that some of the bushnells are pretty reliable. Which models would you say are generally reliable? Basically i currently have an unreliable scope but don’t have the cash to buy a new NF or similar at the moment so seeing what model scopes would be worth grabbing for the interim if i see it pop up used

The made in Japan at LOW ones: LRHS and LRTS variants. The LRHS Gen 2 4.5-18 is the only one in current production I believe.

Just to add one data point: I have the 6-24 match pro mounted in UM rings on a 10.5lb tikka varmint that I used to kill a doe this season. I unintentionally dropped the rifle from about 3 feet upside down directly onto the elevation turret on hard ground. The hit was enough to cause the bottom half of the magazine to break apart from the upper section which sent the follower/spring and all my rounds flying out of the mag (the rifle came with the 5 round xtendo assault mag). I never checked zero and a week later shot a doe at 183 yards, dialing for the shot. Maybe I just got lucky I don’t know. I am planning to check zero sometime this week before I disassemble and clean for the year, but I honestly feel pretty good about the optic after that 🤷‍♂️

Edit to add 1 shot DRT. Bullet impact exactly where I wanted it placed
