Q&A for the second VX5 HD. See-

 
Impressively bad fail. Ryan shouldn't expect any free drinks from the Leupold reps at SHOT show this year.


You mean it’s not impressive that cheap $400 Chinese scopes are better at adjusting, tracking, RTZ, and holding zero than Leupold’s premier hunting scopes?

Nah, apparently, it's no big deal to make one that works. It is impressive you can make a multi thousand dollar scope that fails at its primary job and still get people to think it's hot sh*t.
 
Is there a reason all these leupolds are getting tested again? Was there a change in manufacturing or something that had a different result expected?
 
What I want to know is if leupold just doesn’t care, thinks they’re reliable “enough”, or can’t simply reproduce their success from 40 some odd years ago?

No. People asked if I/we would. Being that there weren’t a lot of actual results on VX5 and 6 HD’s here, it was worth it.
