I want to get my pack a little more organized. Looking at the kifaru pullout bags for game cleaning/dressing.
I’m thinking.
-Kestrel mtn scalpel and a few 60A blades.
- A couple pair rubber gloves.
-Maybe a pen to sign tags?
What do you guys keep in your kit?

A foldable bone saw, foldable knife with replacement blades, also has a foldable gut hook, couple zip ties, dedicated flashlight just for blood trailing, rubber gloves just in case and can also use one as storage for the heart.

I usually add a couple large contractor bags. Then when processing can cut the sides and open up the bags for something to put the meat on while you put in game bags or debone.

I do keep a little med kit as well. That usually has some random stuff like zip ties. I don’t do gut hooks, I have a good saw on my Leatherman. Small, but works if I need a saw. I can usually quarter out a critter with just my 60a blade knife.

This is pretty close to what I have in my pack but it’s spread between a med kit and a couple dry bags. Maybe I just need to consolidate some.

I have a separate small med kit, but I keep those baindaids and Woundseal where I'll likely need them the most. Saves getting into the med kit.

I would still keep a dedicated med kit. I don't get into that unless I really need to. Luckily haven’t had to besides grabbing some painkiller for headaches.

My kill kit consists of 2-Kestrel knives (skinner and caper), 1-Tyto with 5 blades, knife sharpener, UL wt. headlamp, para cord, flagging tape, 5’x9’ sheet of UL wt. plastic, heavy duty rubber gloves, and 2-TAG game bags, all in a DCF waterproof zippered bag. Approximately 22 oz. total.

Search my turn up a few more threads.

I mainly hunt whitetails far enough from the truck/road that dragging isn’t an option sometimes. I gut/skin and quarter but don’t debone. My kit is:

5-6 tag game bags of various sizes
One contractor bag (sometimes I put game bag in it to keep blood off pack)
2 gallon zip locks for organs and scraps
50 feet of reflective paracord
3x pairs gloves
A havalon and blades
Small zip ties for tags
4-6 single wet wipes

Elsewhere in my pack or pockets I have
Marking tape and reflective twist ties for trailing
Leatherman for small saw for pelvis and sternum
Fixed blad knife
Pen and tags

I prefer to gut on the ground and skin and quarter hanging so I also carry a pulley system sometimes but not on longer trips

Havalon Piranta w/ 5 blades
(4) Black Ovis XL bags
4 pieces of binder twine
Pen

All in a Kifaru pullout

Used to keep my tags in there too, but they go in the front pouch of my bino harness now.

I was thinking a couple mediums and a couple large. Can never have to many organization bags.

What do you prefer about the heavy duty gloves vs regular nitrile?
