Purple pictures?

I have the Moultrie edge trail camera and in the fall it started taking purple pictures. Has anyone else ran into this? How did you fix it?

Google "Moultrie Edge trail camera IR filter stuck". Many trailcams have the same basic mechanism for IR filters and if it were mine the first thing I'd try is a simple power cycle and sharp rap on the side. Good luck.

I’ve had to reset them before. Call moultrie and they will give you the specific process for your camera.
It’s usually cycling the camera 5-6 times in complete darkness and full light. The sensor needs to reset.

One of my browning's did that a few years back. I sent it back and they replaced it. When I called tech support the guy knew exactly what was wrong.

I contacted Moultrie and they told me the process to fix it (which included cycling the camera in dark and light, as mentioned). So I finally found time to go take my camera down to try to fix it. I took it on a bumpy four-wheeler ride back home and it fixed itself! The bumps and jolts must have knocked the IR filter loose again.
