Purchasing a pre-owned goretex jacket

Ive been search forums and ebay for used goretex jackets. Just looking for the shell, does not beed to be insulated. Whats the general consensus on buying already used goretex jackets vs new?

Iv bought a few Sitka rain shells/pants, all in good or new w/o tags condition.

I tore the zipper off my cloudburst pant I bought used, Sitka sent me a new pair (actually 2) free of charge.
