Anyone know of or used a good pump sack for the thermarest pads I saw that there was a neoair made by thermarest but seems they no longer make it

Works with all of them I should add. I use mine for my Thermarest Xtherme.

Yeah but says it ships in 2-3 months and every other place I looked said no longer availiable my guess is they are not making them anymore

I made one out of a garbage disposal bag, top of a 2 litre bottle and a garden washer. Super cheap and super light! Plus I can use the disposal bag as a ground cloth for my shoes, pack etc., or even as a dry bag.

I have an Exped Schnozzle that works good and it can be used as a stuff sack and pillow. However, Mr. Stid turned me on to the little battery operated fan pumps. They are awesome and you can use them to stoke your tent stove which is really nice too. I wasn't too sure about needing one until I gave it a try. It's nice with a pad because you can just get it started and then continue setting other stuff up. When it's done, maybe a little breath to top off the pad and you are good to go.

Well I was looking at buying an xtherm I have a trecker now and from watching videos on YouTube it looks like the xtherm comes with a pump sack.

What's the advantage to a "pump sack" instead of just blowing it up with your mouth?

My Exped Downmat UL9 has the integrated "pump" and I hate that thing, it takes for ever. I can fully blow up my Large Xtherm in 21 breaths, about a 1/3 of the time it takes to blow up that Exped with the pump......and I supposedly have asthma.

Over time it also breaks down the insulation value because it isn't as lofty. Thats what Ive always been told.

My garbage disposal bag pump is very fast and can fully inflate in about 3 fills/"pumps". And yes, you get a lot less saliva in it.
