Thought I would share this since alot of times I am packing a thermal scanner of some sort, usually a small monocular. A few days ago I came across a popular website that stocks various "reconditioned" pulsar products. I did a change of pace and picked up a pair of bioculars for around $2200, an accolade 2 xp50 pro lrf. These with the 640 17um sensor. That model is a few years old but the sensor specs are still very comparable to the middle of the line merger models. Got them today. I was sort of surprised that they looked great, actually no sign of use at all. I had some heavy rain and humidity roll in at the end of the day to test on. They performed really well like you would expect from the claimed 25 netd. I think it is very cool that quality bioculars with LRF are going for that price point. There seems to be alot more competition from asia, maybe that is driving things down.
