Here in Colorado I see guys pulling a travel trailer (not 5th wheel) with a trailer with a side by side or 4wheelers behind it all the time. It’s so common I don’t think twice when I see it. I always wonder what they would do if they ever get caught in a tight spot where they can’t turn around without backing up.

Bumper pull doubles is asking for a pile-up. As far as backing up just drop one trailer and figure it out. But don't pull head in unless you know where you are.

I've had a 38' toyhauler that we hauled a ranger in. We upgraded to a crew ranger and it wouldn't fit in the toyhauler. Now have a 32' 5th wheel and pull doubles with the crew ranger on a tandem axle 14' utility trailer. I probably prefer pulling doubles. A 38' 5er wants to drag the backend on every little dip in the road. Im longer now but can go more places. Also better floorplans in the non toyhauler campers. Plus more versatile being able to haul the sxs independent of the camper. Can also drop the utility trailer and pull it with the sxs.

Not sure there's to many things to consider that haven't been mentioned. Do you have enough truck? State laws. You need to swing turns wide, but you need to do that with a long 5er anyway. I haven't tried backing up with doubles yet, but I really screwed up my planning if that's necessary.

How big is your truck and side by side? Can you flat bed your truck and load the UTV, then continue to use your current bumper pull? You will loose all your bed space might be you need it, however with a 5th wheel you loose a lot of your bed space.

I drive an F250 diesel. I actually have a Diamondback bed cover so I can load the SXS on it. I love the cover and it’s one thing making me not want a 5th wheel because I would not be able to use it.

Just get a nice cab over camper and keep the toy hauler trailer. Get a tork lift super hitch and then you can nicely tow a trailer with the camper on. Works fantastic.
