Proximity Vs Fanatic R&D

I'm wanting to put together my first high-end Whitetail system, and ive been going back and forth between Kuiu and Sitka. I'm kind of a gear nerd and enjoy all kinds of gear and tools. I'm curious to know though who do you believe puts in more research and development into their equipment. Sitka is owned by GORE who mades some of the most technically advanced mountaineering gear in the world but that doesn't necessarily mean Sitka gets all those goodies. as far as KUIU being a independent company that are able to shop around for whichever technical fabric they see fit. My question again is who do you think puts more time and research into their gear.

My Kuiu pants and jackets held us better than my Sitka over the years. Both fit good but my opinion is I’d rather have Kuiu for what I do.
