Does the factory breech plug work for the Federal 209A and CCI 209M primers?

What sabots are you sst shooters using? I tried the sst’s years ago and they did not fit well in my accura barrel. I was obviously not using the right size sabot.
I had the same problem with the sabots that came with the SST’s. Does anyone know the answer?

3 50g 777 pellets, win Ml primer and 290gr Powerbelts either tipped or hp. Have heard blackthorn is great with these guns but haven’t seen it in a yr around here.

currently shooting two 50 gr. 777 pellets and a 270 gr platinum power belt that is grouping very well (Remington clean bore primers because that is all I could find). Going to play around with BH209 with this bullet as well.
I tried the federal Bor locks and I was getting flyers. Might revisit that projectile with loose powder.

Dont use Rem KleanBore ML primers with BH209 though. They are too weak. You will also need the Blackhorn209 breech plug.

@GMB54-120 thanks for the advice. I kind of figured it would cause me problems. now if only I could find some primers!
Also have 777 loose powder and was going to try that? ok with Rem KleanBore's?

80 grains by weight of BH209
250 or 290 t-Ez barnes
Cci 209 magnum primer

Worked well in an accura PR, an LR, and an LR-X

BH might be easier to find on the same level of difficulty to find a trophy buck to shoot it at.

I did a test with 300 grain Hornady FPB bullets, when I bought my gun. Went from 90 grains of blackhorn 209 up to 120 (5 grain increments by volume, but precisely weighed out), using winchester 209A primers. My groups really tightened up around 105 grains.
I shoot CVA Accura V2 with a Begera stainless barrel Leopold 6x ..

I shoot 150 grains of White Hot Pellets
( IMR is the manufacture ) and 240 Hornady bullets. I can shoot consistently at 250 yds. I have not shot not shot or pratcied anyfurther than that. I've been shooting this combo for 10 years or so and been very successful.
