Looking for something to protect my legs from thorns while backpack hunting in the backcountry. My pants (First Lite Obsidian) and legs got pretty beat up last year.

Gaiters seem to be the obvious choice but I am concerned with some of the offerings being too noisy pushing through brush.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

I have cheap gaiters but have heard positive things about the Kennetrek gaiters.

A bunch of reviews I read said that gaiters are simple noisy due to their waterproof material.

I’m looking to replace my simple Costco Gaiters with something quieter as well but for my hunt I’ll take these if I have to. I considered trying to attach something quieter to them.

If the thorns are real heavy, I’ve used Filson tin cloth chaps to upland hunt. Quick note the double tin get hot.

I have a set of Khoi Yukon gators and they are incredible. Very durable, stay dry, and build tough. I m know they are a bit expensive, but they are worth it (especially on sale).
