Proof Research vs other CF barrels?

This rifle will be a hunting rifle, now granted I might just order two barrels. One CF Prefit for hunting then a steel for banging steel on the range in high volumes. I do want to go to some NRL events but I don't think the 6mm Creed will make the power fact.

6mm wont make power factor but you could shoot it in skills or 1 days that dont do power factor.

I'm not a carbon barrel guy but i can understand a little better when they are long barrels where there is actually a weight savings (longer section of thin liner under carbon between the heavier shank and muzzle). For a 16" barrel it just doesn't make sense unless a guy just needs to have the carbon look.

It's definitely an aesthetic thing for me. When I ordered my PSE stock, they only give two barrel inlet option (normal like for the Bartlein #4) or wide for the CF barrels. From my understanding they make the barrel channels a lot bigger than normal channels and my OCD will just bother the crap out of me if there is so much void between the barrel and the stock. Yes I know, it sounds stupid but sometimes I like looks to flow. lol

Now when I got my PBB for my Howa Mini, PBB did state even with a 16" barrel there would be a good difference in weight between the CF and the #3 sporter I chose. Pretty much they stated I would need a #3 fluted (which I got) to come close to the CF weight. The other thing that worried me, which I have experienced with my Howa Mini, is being too front heavy when using a suppressor and it just feels weird pointing it. Which is what I was hoping the CF barrel might help resolve vs having to add weight in the back like I did with my mini. Granted hopefully going to this Airlock can that should help to because my OGL is about 15 ounces.
