Got my Elevation last Saturday and got a 3-10x42 shv mounted. Went and did some break in this morning with a box of handloads, 45 grains H4831sc and 143 ELD-X. Didn’t shoot too much for groups but I did manage to get a few groups close to 1/2 moa. When it gets warmer I’ll get back out and really dial it in.

I thought pretty hard about the 308. I love the 20” barrel on it. It would balance a lot better. The 24” barrel is a bit muzzle heavy.

I think 20” is about perfect for a 308, that’s one reason I’m interested in it. Christensen atms also makes the ridgeline with a 20”barrel for about a thousand bucks less.

Yeah I like those too. Would be a handy little gun, it would probably shoot just as well and weigh pretty similar. And like you said, save almost a grand.

I just got the Proof Research Stock to put my 20” 6.5CM Christensen Ridgeline in.

I’m also thinking about getting a Proof Elevation in .308 with a 20” barrel.

I’m not losing much of anything with my 20” 6.5CM out to 550 yards. Saw the Elevation at the Sheep Show this year and that’s what made me buy the Proof Stock. I’m saving 12 ounces in the stock swap alone.

That’s awesome! I wish Christensen would come out with a lighter stock. The new titanium model makes no sense to me, they could have lost that weight with a stock swap.
post a pic of that ridgeline when you get the proof stock on!

If the Elevation in .308 allows you to load long pills, I could definitely get behind that!

I checked into one today in 7MM-08 which they show as one they build but was told it would be a special order. Might still have to go for it.

By the way - nice set up congrats on the new rig!!

Thanks!
The 7mm08 with the 22” barrel would be great. I wish my 6.5 was 22”.

Shows how the Christensen Barrel profile fits in the stock cut for their Sendero and also the relief cut for the side bolt release. I can tell a big difference (-12 ounces) in the rifle overall. Balances really nicely. Yep, I’m definitely ordering a Proof Elevation in .308 with the 20” barrel now!!

Just got the go ahead from the war department to buy a new rifle for the goat tag I drew, going to take a long look at the elevation.

Looks great! What base/ring combo is that?
