What kind of accuracy are you guys getting with your proof prefits ? I’m considering a new barrel and haven’t decided if I’ll do another pre fit or get one spun up. my current pretty much is a 3/4” gun

My couple of Proof years ago were fantastic. Most every prefit I have had has shot very well. I still have a heavy barrel 6 creed I like to spin on for the range.

Evolved Ballistics is a great place to buy them.

Experience with 1 blank, 2 prefits, and 1 steel ar barrel

Both tikka carbon prefits and the carbon blank all shoot lights out

The ar barrel has been consistently inconsistent. Not sure if it’s the factory Hornady ammo, the scope/scope mount (Credo in adm recon), or the barrel but will eventually handload for it when I get around to it and see if that fixes things.

I have a proof prefit and it’s an absolute hammer. Have shot multiple 10 shot groups under an inch.

Maybe I’m the only one that says nah. Had one for a 7 PRC . Wouldnt group for nothing . Tried 3 factory ammo groups and 2 hand loads . Over 400 rounds . Switched scopes . Had two others shoot it . Turns out it was over cut in the chamber . Ended up sending it back . They offered replacement I just took a check instead . Guys seem to love them because they usually always shoot great. I wasn’t one of the lucky ones .

I’m 2 for 2. One on an Origin and one on a TL3. 6CM and 6 Dasher. They shoot better than I can.

I have a proof on my savage and it shoots lights out if I do my part it’s well under sub moa. It’s in 6.5 creedmoor.

I’ve got 3 proof prefits.

Defiance 24” 7mm Rem Mag (no longer produced)
AR-15 16” 6mm ARC
AR-10 20” 6.5 CM

All are quite accurate, and super repeatable. Haven’t found a load that doesn’t shoot well in any of them.

I just wish they’d make more options in 20” or less. Almost all of their non-AR prefits are too long for handy suppressor use.
