proof barrel or hca ?

I've shot a dozen or so HCA barrels and all have hammered.

As was already stated, they are Benchmark blanks.

I know it wasn't one of the one in the poll, but I am on my, *scratches head* third, eh, fourth BSF barrel currently and I have nothing but positive things to say about their products and customer service. That is just on my personal rifles. I have put a couple on other rifle builds as well.
My 6.5 PRC is shooting 5 round groups in the mid .4's to low .6" area at ~75 rounds down the barrel. 147 ELD-M over H4831SC at 2780 FPS in 18" barrel

My 300 PRC barrel is shooting in the .3's for 5 shots. 225 ELD-M's over H4831SC at a forgotten velocity.

My 6.5-284 Norma is shooting ridiculous groups that I won't even admit to on a public forum to avoid the scorn. For comparison the first 5 shots out of it for break in went 0.22". 147 ELD-M's over either H4831SC or H4350. My dumb a$$ self traded this rifle off to a good buddy who is going to use it to beat me at a competition on my own range...

I am also very happy with the couple of Proof barrels I have dealt with but my sample size is too small to be a valid data point in comparison. I don't think that you have a bad option on your list.

FYI, not a bad plan. HCA doesn't use Benchmark liners any longer, and hasn't for a couple years. I found out after I bought mine unfortunately. It's the absolute worst barrel I've ever had. I've had many factory rifles shoot much better than this 6.5 barrel. It doesn't help that HCA wont answer the phone either.
