I saw that and thought it and felt the buck was justified.
I wonder what the drone / wildlife harassment laws are in Texas.

I wasn't going to comment but I will, so flame me if you want, I used to be in the model airplane hobby multi copter craze and was an AVP for our our three state district, but gave it up just a year ago due to the rules coming forth by these multi copters/ drones plus it took away from my hunting funds. I would call this chasing/ harassing wildlife. Yes I think it is really awesome what technology has allowed us for video but let's be real and show some integrity about what we do.

100% agree. Clearly Harrassment of wildlife and should be written a citation for it. Last year my Facebook blew up with a video of a guy jumping off a boat and riding a moose. I said the same thing then. It's a bull shit thing to do and the guy should be punished by law.

We have no rules in TX lol. Have a license. No poaching/trespassing. No spotlighting deer. That's about it??

I guess I see it as harmless, only 4 public tags for pronghorn in the entire state and that's on the grasslands.

The other 8k plus tags are landowner tags determined by state biologist. In other words that video was taken on private land.

I run 100 plus goats off winterwheat every year.... is that harassment? The alternative is depredation permits.

Guess my point is I don't see the major issue when it's most likely on a 20k private ranch surrounded by other large private ranches.

We do not have migratory herds.

So because it's on private land it makes it ok?
Running goats of your crop is a lot different then some jackass messing with a goat with his gay drone.

Ya, it was harmless, except for the life span of the drone. If he wants to fly a drone on his ranch, why not its his ranch.

What did he actually hurt?

Just about every big managed ranch in TX uses helo's for game counts and surveying.

Really? Because he owns the land not the animals. Chasing animals adds unseeded stress to there lives. This is not cool

We don't have winter kills, we don't have migratoy animals.

Again what did he hurt?

Helicopter surveys are normal practice for some of us. Google texas helicopter deer
Example of helo survey pic

The difference between a helo survey and following an individual with a private flown drone is comparing apples to oranges. It's not like biologists want to cause undue stress to animals, but it's the most effective way to conduct surveys and create population estimates based on random sampling techniques. This guy was harassing an animal just for shits and giggles, there was nothing gained from it besides his own amusement.

I can assure you the helo surveys I've been on are much more intrusive then what that drone just did. Hell my dog running lopes out of the garden is more intrusive then what the drone did.

I just don't see why everyone is up in arms. Lope went 50 yards turned and took it out. Hunting lopes is more intrusive, driving through a pasture is more intrusive.

Target practice is more intrusive, working cattle is more intrusive.

Like I said different strokes for different folks.

That was clearly harassment with intent to cause harm. Somebody needs to find that antelope.
