Total height is approximately 25" at shortest up to 40" at full extension (designed for sitting or kneeling, not standing).
I've been using them for training for several months, but I just didn't find them practical in the woods where I do most of my hunting. If I was hunting a lot in sage brush, these seem like they would be perfect.
