I've heard of guys pre soaking their game bags in a pepper solution/tea and I'm wondering if anyone has any more details on this.
I experienced some pesky flies on my meat bag briefly last year on the pack out that I'd like to avoid, or at least limit.

Thanks! T

I haven't tried it, but I've heard of some using chili powder and placing it on the areas that have blood. They say it helps with the wasps as well.

I soaked mine in lemon last year but never got anything to test it. Ive heard putting black pepper on the meat helps. Also pan spray. Havent tested any though. The lemon is supposed to supply citric acid to the meat which helps cure the outside deterring bacteria growth and helping with bugs too. Read it in a elk hunting book I bought
