WTS PREORDER sale 6 cm Tikka prefits

Crazy good offer here. I am not in the need of a 6mm but what a great offer. I am not sure what a smith charges to unscrew and screw on a new barrel, but I'd imagine no less than 1 hour bench time. I'll be in on your next .223 ordering.
Same - is there a 223 offering, fluted/threaded?

I will add the 6 ARC as an option, look for it tonight.

I may make some 6 ARC barreled actions… have some .223 opened up.

I have some 18” .223 Wylde in stock now. May put them on discount soon. No fluting. I will be ordering some .22 cal barrels in the next few months.

Can anyone explain why I would rather go for 6ARC vs 6GT?
besides factory ammo which I don't care about but I believe Hornady is even loading 6GT with 109ELDMs.

Looks like the 6GT is getting nearly identical performance to the ARC (34ish grains of Varget 10xg bullets ~2900fps) but keep the standard boltface? As I seem to grasp the whole purpose of the ARC is to fit these specs into an AR-15 and thus needing to get into the special boltface?

And GT should also feed with normal mags and avoid common feeding issues that can get into with the smaller, super light target 6's like BR or Dashers.

You seem to already grasp the differences, it’s basically where the shooter’s priorities lie. There is some other minor benefit for going 6 arc that you probably wouldn’t see, if 6 GT makes sense to you.

In the end, the difference is really splitting hairs for the most part. Don’t look to me, the 6 BRA/22 BR was my choice, and I opened up an ARC Grendel bolt face on a Howa Mini, lol.

ok thanks lobo wasn't sure if I was missing something significant or just splitting hairs, as it seemed to be the case. Sure seems easier to stick with a standard bolt face to me though...
maybe one day if I get a real hankering for something in between 223 and 243. Anyone tuned in here know a good smith in AZ who could push the throat back on my 243?

Eric @ axisworks is a great gunsmith on the east side. He has done a few things for me. I have heard good things about Phoenix custom rifles as well, but have never used them.

I would be interested in an 18inch 6cm but your website never seems to open or work for me

Awesome!

Any issue with 7 twist vs 7.5? I don’t see myself ever shooting lower than 75 gr Vmax, so I’d imagine the 7 twist should be fine.
I can’t answer that question with certainty.

It isn’t an issue with the longer bullets.

The shorter barrel drops velocity so I don’t think*** it will be an issue. Over-twisting is mostly an issue when it spins the bulllets apart.

PM or text me what you want, I will put you down and send you a link to pay.

Sorry, the site is what we get… not much control.

Hey @hereinaz , send me a message if/when you’ll have a barreled action available. Preferably in 6 ARC.
I am already planing on sending an action or two to have the bolt faces opened to be ready when the barrels get here.

I will put up the link when ready.
