Preferred Barrel Tikka Prefit Experiences

How have the 88 Eldm’s preformed for you? That’s what I want to build the 22 Creed for.

They have been just as accurate as the 75s for me, bout 1/2” groups. They do have a noticeable amount more recoil than the 75s but it’s still not much. The only power I’ve tried in my gun is RL-26, I have 8lbs and it works. I’ve been necking down lapua 6creed brass but also got some alpha ocd brass that I haven’t loaded yet.

Have you had to neck turn your brass when you resized 6 creed to 22 creed? Or has it just been resize, load, and go?

You can account for any of that with a proper chamber. If you genuinely are going down this path, get the brass, get the die, size a few pieces of brass and then send the measurements to Bryce.

When I did the 22br barrel from them, Forster and Bryce figured out the best way to tackle everything so I wouldn't have to turn necks via die honing and the reamer spec. The only thing it cost me was Forster's honing fee.

I’m going to order an 18” 6 creed prefit from preferred today. They said they’d do the Tikka contour flared at the end to thread 5/8. Only $30 extra for custom contour

Let me know how it works out. They told me they wouldn't do it anymore because the guy working the lath had mixed results. It sounded like they just didn't want to do them but could.

He told me they prefer to just do an .750 taperless contour after it leaves the stock. But he said they’ll build it however I want. So I ordered the custom contour

I haven't got a barrel from them, but I have called them at least four times and every time someone answered the phone and was patient and helpful answering questions.

Not yet. I am going to the second week of March. I have been keeping tabs on posts here and I feel very comfortable ordering from them.

I've been very happy with mine so far, definitely will be ordering another here soon, probably one of their in stock 6.5 creeds for a match rifle.

Any body have the lite contour from them? wondering if it’s really the same as the factory, I have a nice stock inletted for factory channel that I don’t want to mess with with the barrel channel.

I’ve got two of their prefits in sporter contours that are good shooters looking to add a lightweight 22 creed to the stable.

Just another good experience with Preferred. My buddy ordered a Tikka .900 Taperless with fluting. The barrel looked fantastic. The threads were nice and clean. It headspaced perfectly.
