They didn't strike me as any bigger than any of the foxes I normally shoot. We don't have other predators in most areas here in Australia so the foxes don't have much competition. We do have wild dogs in some areas but not where I hunt. One of the pictures with the pigs is at a place called the Macquarie Marshes and it's always got good numbers of foxes and cats as there is a lot of food for them, but whenever we head out there we're mainly looking for pigs. This thread has got me thinking that I might need to build a varmint style .243 to shoot medium-game in some of my areas, as well as reach out and touch some dogs in spots I may get access to in the future. My wife has a Mauser M18 in .243 and we use it to keep our freezer full but something a little heavier would be nice.

I had just finished a set where a dog came straight up the canyon wall a couple yards to the right of where I was laying prone. We scared each other half to death. The rifle got him the rest of the way there. You can see him in the background if you look.

Savage axis 22-250 with accutrigger. Super basic rifle but I've put down 60-70 coyotes in the past three years, several over 300 yards. I didn't want to invest a ton in a rifle that gets used and abused nightly when season is open. If my tripod got knocked over I wouldn't be upset about the gun atleast.

18” Mos-Tek 6mm ARC barrel, with a rifle length gas system and Superlative Arms gas block. It’s shooting 87gr VMAX’s at 2800fps and is a heck of a shooter!

Not sure how to post pics on this site
I built a 22-6mm last year
I used a Sauer & Sohn mod 100 action and 26" Douglas premium xx
Kept the factory trigger because it breaks like glass and adjusts to 2lbs
Mounted it in a Boyds laminated stock and topped it with Leupold glass
Settled on Nosler 77 grain RDF at 3500 fps....bad medicine
Have killed a couple dozen hogs with the furthest being 470 yds

For the grendel guys, which bullets seem to work the best out of ar platforms? I’m thinking about throwing a grendel together.
