I am seeking input on an air rifle that is accurate, powerful and needs to be as silent as possible. I don't really know a whole about them other than having a Benjamin as a kid. I'd rather not spend a fortune but its important that its accurate.
Thanks for any insight.

I bought a .22 cal Daystate PH6 20 years ago to deal with muskrats in our pond (congested area, no firearms). Supersonic .22, but the suppressor (not an NFA item) keeps it fairly quiet. 10 pounds all in, and stupid accurate -- reliably hits 1/2" spots at 30 yards off a railing or a knee. Charged it from my SCUBA tank originally; now I use an SCBA (higher pressure, easier to get filled here in NM).

If you have a dive shop close by or someone who can fill air tanks I would get a PCP rifle and good bang for the buck is the Umarex Notos Carbine.
Check out Pryamad Air or Airguns of Arizona

My old man has an FX lite in 22 its awesome. Killed a bunch of foxes with it now. You can set how hard you want the pressure to be depending on what you do with it

Depending on your budget, its use, and if you want a pcp or springer, the options are endless anymore. It has never been any easier then now to get into pcps. Pcps are by far more accurate. Their downside ofcourse is air supply, whether that's by tank, compressor or hand pump. Feel free to pm if you'd like, been playing with pcps for about 20yrs now.

Don't ask questions you dont wanna know the answers too.....
Lol, I won’t be without weihrauch hw30s .177 for small squawky or diggy things to about 40 yards. Stupid quiet and pellet on pellet type accurate at 10m and just the right amount of zing for polite pesting. That’s why I asked lol. It’s like rokslide and tikka 223’s....just can’t be without one. I think I have 3, 2 bounce around to folks or friends with issues needing sorted. They’ve been made a long time, and last generations, I think beeman calls em R7’s if they still around? Springer, quiet, a chunk of 2x4 to discharge into if don’t get a crack and don’t wanna set the spring, 2” from 2x4 and put it away, just goes in a few mm past skirt with a little thunk. You’re welcome.

But who knows with suppressors being so big now the pcp may be quieter but they noisy af without help. Springers quietest without and finding just the right power for goal is the game. And if needs to deal with cat eaters etc then my option not gonna help lol. Carry on.

Pellets make a difference, ie; harder crosman alloy blend (points, domes, premiers) really dig vs soft regular lead and can make the difference needed. At 20-30 on a coyote say then real 800 fps .22 with the 14.3 gr crosman point will likely poke lungs so they don’t come back and or find brain switch if need immediate result. There will be weihrauch springers that can do that. Just maybe taking a swag at intent here haha.

I didnt understand a thing you said. My comment was a joke indicating he might want to kill a bothersome neighbor....

I have a FX maverick .22 which I use for culling pigeons at several grain storage sites.
It's stupidly accurate. Has been super reliable.
It's even more flexible now that I've put an alpex lrf lite NV on it.
You can even get suppressors for them.

They're not cheap, but ya gotta pay to play and all that jazz
