Pouches and best carry for oversized rangefinders?

Hey folks, I'm not super advanced with the optics, I'm just running Nikon M7s in an Alps Extreme harness, and a few years ago I got a Bushnell Elite 1 Mile Arc rangefinder for an excellent price on Craigslist. Problem is I've never found a great way to carry it. I've clumsily tied the original pouch to the side of the harness, but it flops around and when I bend over the magnetic clasp fails and finder falls out. I haven't found a company that makes pouches for these oversized rangefinders. I'm willing to invest in a new harness for the binos if there's an accompanying pouch that works well for the 1 mile arc. Anyone out there with an oversized rangefinder who's solved this delimma?

I'm not sure what the dimensions are on the rangefinder you've got but I just got a T&K harness to try out this year and they offer three different size RF pouches. I initially ordered a large pouch as recommended on their site for the Revic BR4 but it was way too big. I just go the medium pouch in today and it looks to be more svelte. I'd be near certain you could find one of theirs to fit, especially if you're entertaining getting a whole new harness setup.

I have the Vortex geo ballistics RF which is a good bit larger than I've used in the past. I had trouble find a pouch for it as well. I ended up with a Marsupial pouch, but the RF fit so snugly that I had trouble getting the RF in and out the pouch with one hand. I had to split the top of 3/4 seams about a 1/4 of the way down to loosen up the pouch a bit.

I too have the Vortex Razor GB 4000, went through multiple items before finally getting an FHF 2.0 pouch and it’s absolutely perfect in my opinion for my rangefinder.

I would take a good look at that one. I was after a no mag pouch, so there might be a better option but like stated I’d highly recommend it/take a look.

The Bushnell Elite 1 mile is apparently in the category of "ballistic rangefinder," dimensions 5.5x4x1.75". It looks like the rebel battle optics in the opening scenes of Empire Strikes Back. I just scoped out T&K and their large pouch size might be perfect. It's listed as max width 4.5" and max height 5.5". I agree with the desire for a non mag closure but I'm going to message them and see if they have experience fitting ballistic finders in these.
