Possible Scam Attempt in Classifieds

I was contact via PM about interest on a classifieds post. The member also posted a comment on the thread. When I contact the member via cell phone text message, he said that somebody had already reached out directly (text msg) claiming to be the seller. Still finding out details from the the member, and what details the scammer may have provided like user name or phone number, but this is concerning to say the least. Possible an account was hacked?
