I'm in need of a quality, adjustable shooting bench. I searched and found some posts but they are quite old. One of the ones I saw was made by legacy shooting products. It looks like they used to be a sponsor but there are no posts that I can find that are newer than 8-9 years old.

Anyway, I'm not interested in DIY, it needs to be stable but portable and have adjustable legs for uneven terrain.

Any recommendations other than the one I mentioned above?

I bought a DEWALT portable work table for 80 bucks. Works great as a shooting bench. Just needs a couple of sandbags

I have the Caldwell stable table. One of the plastic turn knobs stripped out and I can’t full disassemble it anymore. Apart from that, it is stable and mobile enough for me to move it in and out of the barn when I want to shoot.

It really helps to try out a bench if at all possible. I’ve sat at multiple popular designs and was blown away at how shaky they were. I mean really shaky, like leaning over the hood of a truck was more stable.

The only design I’ve sat at and would consider personally, to buy or build, is like the Stukeys bench huntsman22 linked to. The steel frame adds to stiffness, a separate seat keeps your body weight and movement from moving the crosshairs. The important difference between different brands of the same design will be weight. There is no substitute for thicker gauge metal, but it has to be light enough to transport. A musical stool, like a drummer or guitar player would sit on work well and the adjustable height is a plus.
