Moving into a new house and was just curious if any of you use portable reloading benches? If so, is there a specific model/brand you'd recommend?

Thanks!

If I were you I would build one out of 4 x 4, 2 x 4, and MDF for stability. Having something portable that isn't stable is not a plus when reloading. You can build whatever size you want and can move it whenever and where ever. I bonus would be to attach to wall but I understand some situations that wont work.

Thanks! Appreciate the info! Ive definitely heard that building something and attaching it to the wall is the best route. Just curious if any of you guys have used anything portable or collapsable since that would work best for me at this time.

this is my portable that i take to the range to load with. it is about 40 in x 24 in and made of half in plywood.

you can buy the legs at lowes and off set them about 3 inches so they fold flat. thousands are loaded each year on it.

I have a small store bought portable bench from Frankford Arsenal. Its decent for what I do generally only loading for my 28 Nos and I can fold it up and stuff it in the closet when I'm done. that being said, it really functions best with some weight placed on the feet to keep it from shifting around. I also do not run my electronic powder scale on it as it does move a lot when operating the press and I fear it may mess up the the throw of the powder. I went portable as I do my reloading in a guest bedroom and wanted to be able to put it away after each use. It is also very small so not much room after adding your press for extras.

I went down the path of designing and ordering parts for a portable as we are bouncing between rental houses for the foreseeable future. First place we moved into had a beauty kitchen island. I shelved the portable bench build and now reload on the island. It is awesome. I've put everything into boxes and the press gets clamped onto the well supported over hang of the island. I'm setup in about 5 minutes and more solid then anything portable.

I run one of these Kreg tables as a small work station and it's been fantastic. The aluminum track allows me to clamp down my oak press riser and powder throw if I want and they're Rock solid. It's decently heavy and the only time I've wanted it heavier is when priming on the press. I don't use it for weighing charges as the metal supports in the table top seem to mess with the magnets in my scale. I do that step on the desk around the corner.

Sorry for the messy photos. I cleaned up in a hurry last time I worked.
