I have seen all of those while deer hunting. Sometimes all in the same day (once). I would never count on seeing a lion while hunting, though. Bear are pretty common, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a tag. If you don't have an elk tag, that is all you will see.

I have seen a mt lion & bear in the same day but I was elk hunting :) Actually it was just this past year so after almost 20 years I finally saw a lion. The lion was about 60 yards and acted like he didn't notice me and the bear was probably a mile out.

From what I have heard if you want to see a bear up close just take rokslide member a3dhunter with you, he is an attractant.

I have done 100% of my deer hunting in the desert(so far) and not in elk or bear country.

I have seen all of them. Where are you going to be hunting that you can get an OTC bull tag in Wy?

Yes, yes, and yes. In Washington, we have plenty of bears and lions. I hunt deer and elk in many of the same places too.

Yes, I have seen Mt, Lions twice, once in Ca while hunting Blacktail and SE Idaho chasing Mulies back in the eighties. In the Wyoming Range I see bears and bulls quite often while deer hunting.

in many years stomping the hills of Idaho, Western Wyoming, Colorade, I've seen 3 lions, so like 1 lion per 300 days. Bear much more common, but still can go a deer season without seeing one.

Elk on the other hand, see more of them than I want to most of the time.

I have seen all 3 but never all 3 in the same day. I haven't seen a lion since I started buying the Idaho sportsman's package and packing a tag in my wallet.

Twice I have seen lions stalking mule deer bucks at treeline in broad daylight. The belly crawl and everything. One time the bucks (a group of 3) just winded it, snorted, and hopped off. The other time three bucks from a bachelor herd of 15 or so split off and ran straight at the cat, chasing IT off.

I have seen several other lions in Western MT on or crossing roads.

No/Yes/Yes. Washington has them all, Along with Idaho and seeing 2 grizzly bears in Wyoming! I have never seen a cat while deer hunting though, but for my senior project in high school I was paired up with a cougar specialist/fish & game officer. We used a Karelian Bear Dog to tree & tranquilize a big tom for a study on Feline Leukemia...Hands down the coolest thing I have ever done in my life.

0/1/0. Lots of bears where I deer hunt. No elk though. I have come across allot of cat sign, but never had the pleasure of seeing one myself.

Lots of bear, lots of elk. I have come across a lot of cat sign, but have yet to see one. Same goes for wolves as well, seen their sign, but never come across one yet.

You would be a pretty lucky guy to kill a lion spot and stalk IMO but guys have done it so who knows you could be the next! My lion sighting average is worse than Robby's. (as far as glassing or just running into them, I have seen quite a few up in trees with hounds)

too bad washington doesnt have the elk and deer modern seasons together huh

Yeah, but I do understand that we have a very large hunting population here, compared to the game we chase, so I kind of get it. I feel fortunate to be able to chase all 3 species of deer, and 2 species of elk, plus black bear and cougar all over the counter here in Washington though. I see bears and cougars every year, and shoot a deer almost every year, so it could be worse.
