Mine does something similar - not even sure what model it is, but a Polaris Ranger 500. When it's cold it'll start and run for a minute or so then it goes dead and is hard, but not impossible, to get cranked again.
Like the choke is going off too soon, if it has a choke. I don't know. Not a small engine guy.
My solution is to just crank it and be sure I drive it around or sit there idling with my foot slightly touching the throttle, for at least two minutes, to warm it up before I try to let it idle. Easy most days. Difficult when it's the kids doing it and they only drove it 50 yards to grab a bay of hay and it goes dead and I have to go help them crank it.
