POI With CA Side Port Muzzle Brake

I just received my CA Side port and had to install it yesterday. I sent a few down range to see what the hype was all about. Seemed great to me but my bullet POI is now 3.4" low. Not a big deal, I can come up with my turret and reset zero set. But, what I am curious about is do I have the wrong set screws taken out on top, throwing my barrel down? I currently have #2 and #4 taken out. These positions are based off of the shooter and not from the muzzle. What are your thoughts or what do you have yours set at for a 6.5 PRC or similar caliber?

I'd plug all of the top ports. All of the very best muzzle brakes available today don't have ports in the top .

I may try that next, then take one or two out if necessary. I agree with what you are saying on all others. CA just added then so you can tune your rifle if needed. Looks like mine doesn't need tuned.

3+ inches seems a bit much...I've seen that much from the weight of a suppressor, but not a Brake.

Your bullet is well on its way before the deflected gasses from the brake, counter act the recoil.

I agree. Seemed odd to me. Here is proof and me not just saying I was dead on and now this.

The POI shift is normal. The same thing happened with my CA in 6.5 PRC. Just re-zero and rock on

I’m using the Gen 2 Little Bastard brake right now so no top ports. I would play around with it a bit until you find what ports optimize felt recoil and muzzle rise. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
