Looking for advice on raingear busting brush in NW Oregon. If it’s not too wet I wear wool and love it, but it’s too hot and heavy on the real soaking days. Any recommendations for something as tough as rubber raingear but with a quiet hood? The standard grundens are perfect till a downpour comes and I put my hood up. Thanks for any advice

If you are talking rifle seasons in brief no there is nothing that beats rubber raingear. I wore a rubber rainsuit and muck boots 3 miles in to kill a blacktail in a storm a few years back. It was the right choice at that time. If you are talking for a light squall or pissy intermittent then there's a lot of options. I've had good results with Outdoor Research.

Yes I’m talking the late October and November days where it’s just non stop all day rain. Any of the outdoor research stuff any quieter?
