It would be cool if there were moderator approved bots on forums that answer common questions similar to Reddit
Love, hate those things. I mod on Reddit too and they help but we have to babysit them, cheapens the experience imo. But the group there is 2.5 million and very international so maybe the babysitting is the lesser of two evils for that place.

Very interesting, I'm curious what kind of babysitting they require? Are they actually AI driven or more of a rigid "If input is x then say y" kind of thing?

You can adjust the settings, keywords usually but also text patterns, links and post history to catch what might be spam or just against a rule. The babysitting is that they don’t understand context.
