I picked up a clover no till mix and was thinking of throwing it out in one of my secret areas that virtually nobody looks at (to my knowledge). Are there any legal issues here? Anybody tried it in a blacktail rich environment?

Dnr would be the folks to ask, I would say its going to likely be not allowed though.

Will depend on what state you are in. I have not re-checked regs in a long time but back in the day the answer was that if a plant is naturally occurring in the area you are in- than that is fine. If not (ie corn in the middle of the forest) than it would be baiting. If you put in a bunch of black berries in a specific area that has black berries around, just maybe not in a specific patch of timber-it was ok.

I would wager that this would be illegal.
On an ecological side it would be introducing invasive nonnative species into a system that may not be able to compete.

Hunting over it could.be deemed to be illegal depending on the state, not to mention adding a non-native plant to the environment.
