You don't need a spotter. It's your first pronghorn hunt, not a trip to get Boone and Crockett Number 1. If you have good binos, you can spot them miles away.


Hint: the more black the face looks, the more mature they are. But shoot the first legal buck you can, if you have a buck tag. I've got a doe tag this year, which is fine with me. Antelope are very tasty and fun to hunt.

The trick is not to feel like you need to carry a full
Pack. Especially on smaller pieces of public. I ended up getting a lumbar pack that holds snack & water, extra clothes as warranted and can handle a boned out antelope on top of it.

It’s an easy and fun hunt, don’t over complicate it.
