I’m looking for a bino harness that can accommodate a pistol (compact to full size, I’ll make the “right” harness work), rangefinder and mid-size binoculars (9-12 X 40-50)

I have a Elbertstock Nosegunner and Marsupital full size harness. I’ve enjoyed both, the Nosegunner drops my pistols if I lean over. The Marsupital will require an adapter plus holster.. So it’s probably cheaper to buy a different harness than outfitting one that wasn’t designed to carry that extra weight.

Pistols- G19 w/ radian afterburner, Streamlight TLR-1HL & Acro P2. Or; G34 w/ Streamlight TLR-1HL

Mainly bowhunting & riflehunting the Southeast, as well as turkey hunting.

A good holster system is part of my prototyping bino harness.

What are you thinking for what it would look like?

Like you and many others, I am also in this seemingly never ending search for the right bino set up. Earlier this year I “built” one out of an old chest rig I had. It works well, but it’s not quite what I want. I would be interested in what hereinaz has to offer.

I loved my Nosegunner, having the pistol up close then the binos opened up away from me. I just wish the pistol had an elastic strap or something to secure the pistol better. My G19 has fallen out before if I lean over wearing the harness.

Overall the size, pockets and pocket locations in the Nosegunner make it more appearing for my personal uses than the Marsupial.
- For context I have 1 full season with the Marsupial and 2 seasons with the Nosegunner.

I have a blacks creek raptor system and it works pretty good, gun is plenty secure and handy to draw, only real downside is the pistol sits on the front of the harness and with the weight being out there it's sags forward sometimes.

That’s a dealbreaker IMO the “best” designs in my mind have the pistol up close, between the body and harness. Then have the pouch for the binos, phone etc with side pockets and/or attachment points for a knife, lights, rangefinder.

Having all of the weight (pistol) out away from the user probably creates a sag and pull on the harness, rather than keeping a majority of the weight up close.

FFF Rap bino harness

I've been looking at this one. It's been mentioned here a couple times recently and I think one of the writers had it in his top gear of 2024.

edit: It's FFD - I misspelled the link

I’m very interested in this harness. My main concerns are ; A. There’s no specs (size wise) and B. The way the bino & pistol straps open look like they’d get in the way.

- My concern is the bino “flap” pulls back, towards the user. The pistol “flap” pulls away from the user. Just seems like it would get frustrating to use over time. I’d prefer if the pistol just had a bungee strap for securement with a quick-pull tab and the binos opened away from the user.

Just my .02 but they seem to get great reviews

I am making it so you can run your holster of choice with either hardware attachment or a short section of “belt” for inside or outside waist band holster.

Why not have Molle straps on the sides, bottom and front to accommodate holsters, knives, lights etc then have a second “pouch” inside the harness to accommodate a pistol?
I also like having a pouch on the backside on the harness (between my body & the harness itself) to put my iPhone for easy access.

Say you have a main compartment with 2 “slots”, one main one for binos and a smaller one closer to the user for a pistol.

Something like that.
